On July, 7, the schedule isn’t so tight anymore. So we could enjoy the city of Warsaw, did some walking and got familiar with the people. The committee has provided us with two city trip to two different places. The first is the Museum and the second is the Old Town.
The Museum is a place where we could understand and learn more about the history of Poland, especially in the time of World War, where Poland was in a great jeopardy. Many people died, building was destroyed, blood everywhere. In the museum we could find anything related to the War such as guns, old radio, the armor, clothes, many videos about Warsaw bombing. Anything. Just name it !
And the second place is the Old Town. It is a part of Warsaw which has 85% destroyed by Alliance Army in the time of World War. But it could be reconstructed because of the paintings, of a great painter at that time. The City was built again based on the picture in the painting. In this town we could find some Polska souvenirs, restaurants, and the Statue of Mermaid. Some old person said that the Statue of Mermaid in Warsaw had siblings in Copenhagen, Denmark.
These two places could be reached only by foot, about 30 minutes. I thought the Polska’s like to walk everywhere but it’s worthy. Along the walk we could enjoy the historical and artistic architecture of the old building, some Chopin Park Chair, the Statue of Copernicus and many more.
